Wow 500 strips and I’m still not improving, that sucks…
Naw I don’t mind receiving critique on my work provided it’s actually helpful critique that allows me to improve on my work. I’ve received many helpful critique since joining Tapastic, and some pretty useless and down right hurtful, but I’ll just take them with a grain of salt.
So we recently had a major ice storm and because of that there were a lot of accidents because the city didn’t prepare for it. Fortunately I was able to make it through without any accidents, but unfortunately I can’t say a lot of others were so lucky. But that isn’t what this strip is addressing.
A lot of these accidents were dead center of the road, some were on the side, but the one that inspired this strip was the accident right inside the parking lot of my work. I got out of my car, three car accident dead center of the parking lot entrance. I ran up to check if they were ok, offered to push their cars, and I swear their excuse was the same. “I want the police to see what it looks like.” Now I understand that reason to an extent, but we live in a age of cell phones.
I believe in helping people when I know I can, but these guys were just arrogant and the least bit concerned about the safety of the other drivers around them. I left and went to work. The cars were sitting their for four hours before the police showed up.
If you’ve been with me from the early days you’ll know that I’m a fan of the youtube series Two Best Friends Play. I never really mentioned how much I appreciated the guys for all the things they truly encouraged me to do. To me they’re more than just a Let’s Play channel, but rather they remind me of all the fun I would have playing games with my friends. Unlike that douche Pewdiepie, I feel an actual connection with these guys and I legitimately enjoy hearing about their lives. When I discovered their channel five years ago I was in a really dark place in my life, that final part of the Thanksgiving special was actually my life. I had nothing, I was going nowhere, and I really had thoughts of suicide. When I first watched their video of Epic Yarn it helped me forget just how rough life was at the time, and I started going out more and finding human interaction. They aren’t the BEST channel, but I still love the guys very much. When I heard about Liam leaving I was a little heart broken, and hearing about Matt made me a little more sad. I just hope they can pull through as they are my favorite people on youtube. They truly inspire me to do my best.
Once again thank you Matt, Pat, Woolie, and Liam. Woolie don’t steal my pies please.
I’m sorry if this seems like a cheap strip, but I just wanted to make something to show my appreciation for the Two Best Friends series.
