Friendship is Dangerous:
Before I get ANY comments from the brony community stop and read this:
This strip is dedicated to daughter who is a fan of the My Little Pony show. I love her very much and I wanted to make at least one comic strip with her in it as her birthday was on the 15th and my girl friend is a main character in JODDAS VAPD and she is not. The reason My daughter isn’t a permanent character is due to the fact that JODDAS VAPD is originally aimed toward people between 18-35 (my target audience when I first started).
Now to address the comic strip itself. I know all bronies are not like this, but there are enough out there that are. I can respect a brony who watches the show for it’s story telling and morals everyone my age already knew about growing up in life, but the ones I cannot stand are the contradicting bronies. I’m talking about the guys who claim to follow the pony creed or whatever by solving all issues through kindness, but just don’t. I know enough of these guys where I live and I feel bad discrediting other bronies because of them. It’s sad too because I know a lot of bronies out there are very talented and creative people, but because of guys like these your image is only tarnished. I guess you can say I’m making fun of Brony posers.
I don’t hate the brony community as someone who has been an anime fan I can somehow relate to a certain extent. Our interests are strange to others, but what makes us happy is what we enjoy in the end.
As for the show itself I don’t hate My Little Pony, but I’m not going to sit there and say it’s godly either. I just think it’s a good show for kids (and I say kids to imply both boys and girls). When compared to other trash on childrens networks, MLP really is the only good option with crap like Adventure Time, Crash and Burn, and Jessie that exist I would rather listen to the MLP theme song and know some good moral is coming out of it for my kid to learn than shit.
So I want to wish my daughter a Happy Birthday and I love you.
